PRESS RELEASE: PRC Registration Center for New Nurses dated September 30, 2010

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is fast-tracking the registration of tens of thousands of nurse professionals who passed the recent July Nursing Licensure Examinations (NLE) so that the new nurses can begin their trainings and apply for employment. Last September 15, 2010 the PRC opened an additional Registration Center at V-Tech Tower along G. Araneta Avenue in Quezon City.

PRC Chairman Nicolas P. Lapena, Jr. announced yesterday that this move is in line with President Benigno Aquino’s 22-Point Agenda for Labor and Employment as championed by Department of Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz.

The new Registration Center advanced the dates of registration by a month as those registering now at V-Tech were originally scheduled to register on October 15. It has also decongested the PRC Central Office which is now being crowded by thousands of applicants for the December 2010 NLE.

As of September 29, 2010, a total of 3,526 passers has filed for initial registration at the V-Tech Tower. 5,000 NLE passers are expected to register at V-Tech Tower.

Initial Registration


Instructions
Initial registrants should come personally to the PRC Central Office or to the nearest Regional Office to file his/her application for registration and to affix his/her signature in the registry book.

All Registration Certificates and PRC ID shall be claimed by the licensee personally at the Central Office or the Regional Office where the application for the same has been filed. If there is an unavoidable need for a representative, he must present his/her identification paper with picture and a Special Power of Attorney.
